Intro to Cosmetology - Career Fair Series

The highlight of the 2021-2022 school year was when Integrated Roots International® partnered with progressive elementary schools Midway Elementary School and Jackson School Elementary of Kershaw County, South Carolina for their annual career fair.

In partnership with our fellow industry partner Lexxology LLC, we presented hands-on demonstrations that provided participating kids and faculty a unique and exhilarating introduction to the wonderful world of Cosmetology. Nearly 1000 K-5 kids learned foundational components of cosmetology such as the color wheel and the relationship between primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Other featured samples were mixing colors and color correction, balayage application, facials, and manicure simulations. 

As always, there are a few surprises along the way. Our final show stopper was a little boy that exposed an unexpected hidden talent that left school administrators speechless. Introductory learning to cosmetology is an absolute blast and we are so honored to share our passion with students.
