A United Front - DEI & Self Care

Integrated Roots International® joins Executive Director Donnie Supplee of United Way Kershaw County in providing staff with some much needed team building and shadow work. While approaching the topic of customer service, we turned our scopes inward to examine the impact that self care has on teamwork and helping others.

You may have heard of United Way but UWKC takes stewardship to the next level. This is not your average team. In addition to producing the traditional community supports of the national United Way organization including community fundraising and resource navigation they also integrate custom programming targeted towards meeting fundamental human and social needs specific to Kershaw County including:

  • Education and early literacy for youth

  • Health and hunger

  • Financial stability

  • Community based transportation

  • The operation of eight community gardens
